Let me start by introducing myself – my name is Vera. Pronounced Veera but written as Vera (blame my parents for this confusing choice). I live in the heart of Helsinki and work as an photographer, videographer and digital marketing consultant.
Photography has been a passion of mine since childhood. I’ve always been drawn to the power of images to tell stories and capture emotions. There’s something magical about freezing a moment in time, preserving it forever in a single image—a single moment to remember. I want to capture yours, so it will last a lifetime with you.
As a person, I consider myself thoughtful, warm-hearted, and honest. I live for the small moments and joys of life—sipping freshly brewed coffee on a peaceful morning, wandering through a new travel destination, or simply receiving a long hug from a loved one.
Life is full of fleeting moments, and my mission is to capture those that tell your unique story—a story you’ll relive, not just remember.

How did it all get started?
The first time I held a camera, I was about 12 years old. My mother have recalled how she once wondered where I had disappeared to. After searching the yard, she found me sitting in front of our house’s spout, completely mesmerized. There I was, Nikon D40 in my hand, which my father had bought second-hand for me, patiently waiting to capture the perfect water droplet as it dribbled from the roof. I had been sitting there for ages, utterly absorbed in the magic of freezing a single moment in time.
From that day on, photography became my world. The art of capturing a fleeting second and preserving it forever fascinated me. A single image to tell a story, evoke a feeling, or bring a memory to life—how could I not fall in love?
As I grew, my passion for all things creative blossomed. I was constantly writing fictional stories inspired by games and movies, directing short films with my friends, and sketching or painting whenever I could. And, of course, my camera was never far from reach. (A heartfelt shoutout to my sister, who endured countless photo shoots in the most bizarre outfits and settings. Let’s be real—she secretly enjoyed it!)
Some of my fondest childhood memories are tied to summer vacations, filled with family adventures around the Nordics and endless creativity. Those summers also meant visits to my grandparents’ house, where my grandma would teach me the secrets of painting and handed me her oil paints. I’d spend hours reading art books, practicing techniques, and soaking in her wisdom while munching on fresh plums from her beloved tree. Let’s not discuss the aftermath of eating way too many plums, though.
Over the years, my love for visual storytelling has only grown stronger. Whether it’s capturing beauty of my everyday life, filming a full day wedding celebration, or brainstorming creative projects, I’ve always sought to leave my personal touch on everything I create.
As a person, I consider myself thoughtful, warm-hearted, and honest. In my free time, you’ll often find me with a camera in hand, experimenting new ways of creating, staying active, spending time with my spouse, family and friends, and most importantly: exploring the world as much as I can.
In the spring of 2023, I made one of the most challenging yet rewarding decisions of my life: leaving behind a career in hotel operations and management to dive into the world of photography and digital marketing as an entrepreneur. It wasn’t easy, but it was undoubtedly one of the best choices I’ve ever made.

I would describe my photography style as documentary, natural and earthy. My desired color palette is full of neutral colors and I love capturing life unfiltered. My documentary touch to photography celebrates the raw, genuine moments that unfold naturally, revealing authentic stories and emotions without the need for staging.

I love what I do. Because of this I do everything with passion and dedication. My aim is always to deliver the best possible outcome.
